Six pairs of boats built by Isaac Pimblott and Sons Ltd of Northwich and W.J. Yarwood of Northwich between 1957-60 for British Waterways North Western Division Southern Carrying Fleet. They were all named after former Admirals of the fleet.

Aire and Calder compartment boat
They were developed for the Aire and Calder Navigation by P.H. Bartholomew and in use from 1865 until 1987. They are rectangular boxes 21ft x 15ft x 8ft drawing 6ft 6in with 35 tons, loading up to 40 tons. They were initially pushed in groups of 6 by a tug with a dummy bow. During the Twentieth Century most trains were towed with 19 boats (up to 30) linked. They were lifted out of the water to unload.

Cylindrical hanging lamp fastened with side rings for running up the mast or hung from the fore stay or a similar wire. Robustly constructed in brass tin or galvanised iron. Lens glass is fully circular either globe type or dioptric pattern. Wire glass protectors usually run from oil reservoir to upper body of lamp.

Arun barge
Small Thames barges capable of using the Wey and Arun Canal and River Wey to the Thames. Size varied depending on where they traded. The boats were 12ft beam and 40ft to 70ft long and carried around 20 tons. The decks were clear of objects because of low bridge heights on the Wey and Arun Canal. Larger Arun Barges used the River below Arundel.
